The Right Balance?
What is the right combination for an IE? Mutual attraction, interests, intelligence, sexual appetite...?

Attraction is important but it can grow. I guess people in this situation don't have time or inclination to wait. Depends on type of connection you're looking for

If you donβt fancy each other then itβs going no where,
For me and my lover, we fancy the pants if each other and the excitement of our next meet and the naughty text messages building up to the meet.
Also we are as naughty as each other in the bedroom

Well said. Unfortunately, the internet allows a degree of privacy that makes people believe they can get away with bloody murder. I don't see this changing any time soon. Personally, I agree with you and conduct myself on the internet the same way I would in real life.

I briefly spoke to someone earlier this week, we exchanged passwords, he didn't reply after that, so I'm not his type, no big deal, I'm not going to get hurt about it, different strokes for different folks! I think people should exchange passwords as early as possible and if conversation goes cold at that point just take it on the chin and move on. The earlier you swap, the less time you've wasted. I'm surprised people are so upset by it.

Manners cost nothing nor does respect so perhaps we need to take a step back and think how we would react to someone in a face to face situation. It shouldn't matter what type of site we are on - IMO

I'm new to this site, only having joined this week, but many joined here looking for something they are missing at home, whether that is company or attention, or a spark, or something to set the butterflies going again etc.
You can get a lot of these things from discreet messages back and forth, looking forward to the next message arriving, the conversation, the flirt...
But when a face is put to name, suddenly that person becomes real. I wouldn't take it personally chaps if the conversation runs dry after seeing you, you're merely not what they imagined so previous message take a different picture, nothing wrong with you π
Having only been here a couple of days, hasn't yet happened though so purely guess game π
