Many years ago, I was asked to use my card to buy something online for myself. We have known each other a while so it wasn't a problem. However, when we met I couldn't bring myself to remind him about the money even though it was quite a large amount.

Anyway, after we left the hotel and went our separate ways, I was in a shop and he came running after me and said oh I forgot to give you the money and handed me a wad of cash. You can imagine the looks I was given!!! I was mortified, especially with me being Oriental and goodness knows what the other shoppers thought.

It wasn't funny at the time but it does make me laugh now when I think about it.

I don’t mind contributing to hotel accommodation occasionally. I would prefer to give the man the money though rather than the other way round. It happened to me once and seeing a man take money out of his wallet to give to me was not a pleasant feeling especially as it was the first time in a hotel.

I would never pay half towards a hotel alarms bells ring with me when they say what they have Business property abroad I don't care about such things I had one guy say if he travelled 100 miles to meet me and we wanted to take things further at a later date would I help him pay for hotels etc you can imagine what I told him to go and do
