It certainly makes life a lot less complicated. I only have myself to consider and don't have to worry about forgetting what story I've told/who I've said I was with/worrying that my OH will find a message from IE by accident etc. (Yes I've been there lol)

Completely get what you’re saying and as I said, everyone is different, you’re right I would not have trusted that friend with all my secrets....most people get a vibe, a gut feel, whatever you want to call it about who they can trust
Obviously not everyone here is decent like me 😁
