The Green Eyed Monster

What happens when the cosy twosome becomes an annoying threesome with the appearance of the GEM? How does the GEM affect your IE relationship and more importantly, how do you deal with it?

@Exotic Orchid

You are right about factoring in human nature, and i see that jealousy is something that likely would pop up, even towards an IE's spouse. This is a very enlightening debate. I am still new to this and havent yet got an established IE, so I don't really know what to expect. The balanced comments are helping me prepare :-)

I think we are forgetting one small detail here re GEM ... human nature!
Of course there are many things we "shouldn't be" ... like we shouldn't fall in love for example because this is an adultery site BUT people do ... I have read enough comments on this Forum about it!

Yes, there shouldn't be any GEMs but I am very sure there are those who do succumb to it ... not everyone but certainly some on the site.

@Summerbell

I think it's a given that an IE has no hold over a marital relationship, that's what we signed up for...a relationship with someone who is not totally available because they are married. I would have no right to jealousy. If that becomes the case then there are other dating sites available

@Devon Pixie, good stuff i agree, however for the benefit of the audience STIs for example Chlamydia HPV or Gonorrhea are present on asymptomatic females... in fact Trichomoniasis is often absent of symptoms in both men and women until it is too late.

Even if I used inspector gadgets gogo magnifying glass i will see nothing. I want to stop short of inviting a lover around and have her straddle a gynocologist bench for me to examine her during foreplay. Not sexy... i prefer to lower the absolute probability of risk. It is simple math, more partners = an exponential increase in risk.

This is a forum, debate should be welcome if it is constructive. Thank you for your perspective, it was refreshing.

What if the GEM rears it's head from your IE towards your home partner?

Continued...
Not wanted to get into a deep debate about the science here, but genital warts, herpes, and syphilis are actually sexually transmitted infections that can be prevented by using a condom generally. They are transmitted via skin to skin contact during periods where the ulcers/warts/sores are actively present, and through sex the rest of the time. Now I don't know about you, but if I was presented with a genital region covered with open sores that would be an absolute deal breaker anyway, so it doesn't matter whether or not a condom would prevent transmission because those scabby genitals would not be coming anywhere near me! I'm far from naïve, I simply know a bit of science, having been already lectured by some fairly well qualified lecturers 😆

Thanks for the virtual fistbump 🤜 x

@invisalign I was saying Hot Lips935 was suggesting I shouldn't be here not you.

You're right about the word slutty not always being a negative, I know some very proud sluts, but it's about context, when the word slutty immediately follows "then I end it. I don't need to headache or the risk" then it is clearly going to come across as a bit pejorative.

I've not been lucky, I've been careful, quite right it shared responsibility, and one I take very seriously. I didn't say protection is entirely a man's job, merely that if you were worried about where a lady had been, you could protect yourself, in the same way that I, as a careful lady protect myself.
Comment too long will continue.....

@Devon pixie, Pejorative? maybe in a literal sense... but it is 2020 and not all men use the term "slutty" in a derogatory way. I mean if you want to get into symantics... my last lover was my little slut and she loved the term and i loved and respected her.

On your question of risk, I only mentioned it because no matter how anyone tries to spin it... having several partners opens you up to more risk of being found out or as you mentioned infection, maybe you have been lucky? (especially during a pandemic) your response about men protecting themselves displayed a quasi feminazi attitude.. it is a SHARED responsibility, condoms don't protect you from all STIs such as herpes, genital warts and syphilis which can be spread from skin-to-skin contact. I dont mean to lecture you but your response was a little naive.

I would never suggest you dont belong on IE, and i never said such a thing, on the contrary please explore and continue to have fun with my full virtual fist bumping support but stay open minded.
