Affairs can be fairytales too

All the books and movies about happily ever afters - soooo glamorised.

Come on Cinderella, the balls over, nobody found your shoe. I've had more chemistry, love and adventure in an affair - which brings me to the bold statement - affairs can be fairytales too.

Too many frogs masquerading as princes for my liking!

A Fairytale as every relationship is with a start, middle and ending.
The difference is that it is much easier to finish an affair than a marriage, which makes it more genuine because we stay while it is suitable for everyone.

It started out a fairytale but now the rat has scuttled away I'm left with a pumpkin and one shoe šŸ„“...

But only for a short time. Life always gets in the way, work, health, husbands, wives, children, you or your lover's own conscience. Having an affair is a great experience, you inevitably get close too your new partner, feelings grow and you change, you have to it's only natural, however, it doesn't mean the change you experience (unless you're incredibly lucky) is the same for your lover or vice versa. In short they'll always be something to burst the fairytale bubble.

Aren't we all running away from our happy ever afters?! The story telling always draws it's veil at that point because excitement and desire hinges on the longing and the getting, not on the having and keeping. Maybe an affair could be the way to relive the delicious 'rise in action' and the sublime 'climax' over and over again. The intoxicating part of the story, rather than the dull fall in action or denouement. Save that part for the married life!

Life is too short not to dream and have adventures.

They may not have the happy ever after but sure they can provide the highest highs, that seem close to fairytale.. The fact they might not last forever creates a passion and special moments. ;o) and memories will last forever..

Perhaps you have to cast your net wide to begin with, and then slowly draw it in, until you get the perfect catch? Exploring far and wide can be fun too.

Well the fairytale I seek would certainly not be in a Disney moviešŸ¤£

Do I want my glass slipper slipped onto my delicate foot so tenderly? I think not. This Cinerella was completely happy on her knees and in her torn rags thank you very much.
