To imply that you cannot be happily married while also on IE is to add weight to the absurd notion that one person can fulfill all your needs, desires and wants forever in all circumstances.
Such an expectation is unfair to put on one person and unrealistic.

To suggest that divorce is the simple answer is also crazy. Of course there are people who have been through it and are now the other side and happier for it. But I also know someone who is deeply unhappy at having been divorced and is deeply unhappy at remaining single since. But one example is statistically irrelevant.

Such binary discussions are unhelpful.

A deeper question might be to what extent we have all considered the conundrum of low expectations contentment vs. high expectations roller coasters.

You don’t need to feel sympathy for me, I’m big enough and handsome enough to accept not everyone will agree with my thoughts, or actions.
Good question you pose there, I’m sure my wife you say 9 cos I’m amazing but always leave a bit of room for improvement lol.

However I can’t see how anyone who is married and looking for affairs is really happy in the context of their relationship with their partner.

Just a thought : WE, the potential cheaters who are very happy at home have said our bit, but I’m wondering if our husbands / wives were asked out of ten, how happily married they are, how they would answer ..
