Have had the tatty t-shirt, jeans and dirty trainers. He came straight from work without freshening up. Tried to plant a kiss, and took umbrage when I jumped away!

Dirty old t-shirt and jeans.
Apparently his wife would be suspicious if he had tidied himself up.
Needless to say, that went down like a lead balloon!

A date once turned up on crutches!

I once met somebody at Hopwood services who looked as if they had just finished cleaning the toilets. The coffee didn't last long!

It’s not clothing related but bad teeth…. It’s such a turn off.
Especially when you like kissing… it was an instant tyrn off.
It didn’t matter what clothes were being worn after seeing that.

All I ask of a date is to actually turn up. What she is wearing is very much coincidental!!
As for what I wear, before I retired, I was in a job that entailed a lot of travelling round the country with a lot of Hotel Hopping so I was unable to carry much in the way of off-duty clothing so the (very) occasional meet was what I term as "rural casual", largely what I am wearing in my profile picture.
Now I am retired and spend a bit of time exploring this beautiful country of ours in my van, I'm still fairly constrained as to what I can carry to wear, though by preference I like a decent tweed jacket with shirt & tie.

I think as long as someone turns up looking clean and presentable that’s fine, I don’t like really heavy makeup or lots of strong perfume.
