Gifts make no sense to me. I am not a scrooge, however, what do you do with the gift (unless it is edible - in which case it can be disposed of easily and without trace, unless an inch on the hips is traceable 😀)?

I have been in this situation before where I was given a small item that I would never have bought for myself or even worse a scent that I have never worn before. You have no option to leave it somewhere so you can regift (if you can) or throw it away so it is a waste.

Why would you make the whole experience more complicated and potentially have to make a forced explanation. for it.

I must be hugely selfish! but I have definitely made a window to see mine - honestly thought it would not happen till new year... but hey presto and I was not going to turn down an opportunity.

100% understand how hard (or not!) it is this time of year - office parties, families... usual stress - for me it will be a well needed break - obv who knows we may need to cancel if stuff arises but as it stands... we're meeting.

So far I’m finding it to be a dangerous assumption that one has an IE, even when all evidence points to that fact. Maybe I’m cynical, but being stood up and then immediately blocked after a month of X-rated messaging will do that to you.

So to answer the forum’s question, Santa may come, but I certainly won’t- this Christmas, at least

There isn’t much point in trying to ‘do this’ until mid January… most women have a massive case load leading up to and over the holidays.. plus family to visit and so on and so forth.. guys have a busy time of course(don’t let it ever not been said( haha)..

I am sure we can all put our ‘needs’ at rest for the time being … 😁

Meeting for our last hurrah of the year on the week before Christmas. For me it is a def no no for a gift. We both spend time and effort and money into the meet that is enough for me. We were not sure if we could make it work before Christmas, but both really wanted to, so that for me is our present - our time for each other.
