It depends on the request. This seems playful and harmless, let him have his fun.

If he traps you in a room with chariots and lions and then throws a net over you then i would be concerned.

It’s all good fun if it enhances the IE partnership, especially if the OP is already a few months in. Only when both parties are comfortable - you will know when the time is right.

For me though, both parties have to be game. If I don a costume, he will too. No one way street here!

Once you have established a good connection with your IE, you will be able to communciate this anyway so there is no right or wrong time. If you are already close enough to spend an entire afternoon in bed together then asking a woman to wear black stockings isn't going to be a challenge...
