First date attire
I've been reading lately in the forum about women anxing about their outfits etc in order to impress their firstdate. Really does it matter? Chaps, tell us your expectations...make up or natural, new dress or casual comfort, cleavage or low key?

Honestly it’s about the person and connection but I do remember meeting someone who had a figure to die for and had a great outfit showing it off. We met a few times but the distance was really too far. She was great

Within reason obviously as you well know!

You gave her the venue info ... her fault for dressing unsuitable.

Just to add an extra comment on this. I did once say to an IE match when we were agreeing to meet, let's meet in a nice friendly pub that is halfway between us both. I named a place and I said it's a regular pub, quite casual. She turned up look like she was going to the Oscars and felt uncomfortable throughout our entire conversation as everyone in the pub kept looking at her.
So context and location matters - if you are meeting up at a smart restaurant then you need to make an effort, but if you are just planning a glass of wine in the pub then the party dress is not essential and can even be a mistake!

Hmmm. A lot of 'whatever you feel comfortable in'. Does anyone want to take me out for a date in my tartan pj's? I await with bated breath. If that's a no then I'll give my best white leggings a wash. The only trouble with them is that when the sun shines where the sun shouldn't shine you get to see my cellulite. Best to know what you're letting yourself in for. Failing that an all in one Spanx bodysuit which doesn't really make me feel at all comfortable....

Agree - it really all depends where you're meeting and what you'll be doing.
I think the main thing is both make some sort of effort , and show they have made that effort. For me it's not necessarily what she's wearing , but it's how she carries herself , and it gives her confidence and comfortable in what she is wearing. Sure a nice dress , showing some cleavage is nice , but if she feels uncomfortable in it , it will undoubtedly spoil the date.
As for me , I always make sure I'm presented well , whether I'm casual or smart. Clean shaven , hair cut , good aftershave and clean teeth
The lads gotta make the effort as much as the girls :)

It all depends on where you are going for your date ?
If you’re going to a pub for coffee/lunch then it’s low key ..
Jeans/top ..boots ..dr martins with dresses light make up …. For guys nice Levi’s and shirt /sweater .Armani code aftershave🤪
If you’re going out to dinner then adapt your dressing style ..to the place you are going ..low cut top ..hot dress and for guys nice shirt trousers jacket and tasteful 👞 …
If you are going for a countryside walk then obviously get in your hiking 🥾 gear ..warm clothes
