Connection
What is this elusive 'connection' everyone is looking for? Someone I chatted to, just on messages, seemed to believe we had a 'connection' because we were messaging! Connection for me is something only found in its real sense on meeting.

Something resembling a normal conversation in messaging suggests a good start to me. If it’s like pulling teeth then I don’t think the connection will be made. But I agree with others the only real way to know is a social meet.

You will only know if the person is right for you when you meet ….no amount of messaging/sexting will surfice …yes it will give you an idea but in the grand scheme of things …MEET….MEET… ASAP

I’m wanting a connection which is fun and with benefits of the person is right. I just want to be able to enjoy life and be able to have some fun that doesn’t involve a lot of heavy feelings.

A connection can't be real, from just messaging. Sure, you can build an understanding and potential from messaging, but meeting is the acid test.

That's the other side of the coin, it hurt like hell for quite some time after it ended... But it was worth every bit of heartache

There is relaxed and there is clearly pussyfooting about. I am in the ‘meet only if there is potential’ camp. That means, not early. But if you are off site, chatting great, talking about possibilities of a meet irl, then it is best to get a move on if the other party’s acting positively. Get a date pencilled in before they lose interest.

Totally agree here, having finally had that connection on all levels, with my last affair.
It made the affair far better than anything else I have experienced through this site.
It just hurt more when it ended, but here I am trying to find it again 😊
