About Me:

I am an honest, decent man who has never really settled. I love new people, experiences and places, being highly adaptable and comfortable in a wide variety of environments. However, what you see is what you get. I don't set out to impress. If you want fast cars, flashy gestures and faux adoration then please move on. I consider myself intelligent and reasonably well-informed, able to converse on a number of subjects. In fact, I like nothing better than settling into a comfortable pub for a good , old provocative discussion. However, we are who we are and I am very tolerant of others' opinions and, indeed, actions except when someone deliberately aims to harm me or those I care for - which could be you! Can be witty too.

Looks-wise, I am tall and in reasonably good shape. I wear glasses and am bald, keeping my remaining hair very short. OK, not super handsome, but I don't scare the horses either. I can dress up and down but am generally M&S casual (said I was honest). I am married, but amicably separated (it was a location thing). With two daughters and two grandchildren I do understand about children and am happy to talk about them, but I don't idolise them.

I enjoy books, puzzles, quizzes, games and lots of stuff on Radio 4. Not really into TV but I enjoy films. Don't worry, I promise not to bore you with sport though I do like to keep an eye on what's going on in the Premier League. I often go walking and cycling but it always involves a pub or two en route. Like to dance but am very bad so, sorry, if that's your thing.

You will find me attentive, thoughtful, interesting and wanting to plan stuff to do. I'll talk about emotions. But don't expect to get 100% of me. I like my independence and am not good on total commitment. But, when I'm with you, you will have my full attention and I will do my best to ensure we have a good time together. Ideal Partner:

Someone who's ready to muck in and not bother too much about how things are turning out. Good talker, but a listener too. Local pub rather than sophisticated wine bar person.

Cuddly, average or thin, I don't mind. But I'm not not impressed by artifical enhancements, wherever they might be. OK, make an effort to look good but, ultimately, be proud of who you are.

if you are only looking for fun nights' out with someone different then please don't bother me. I am not necessarily expecting or demanding sex but, if we fancy each other, there has to be at least the possibility, rather than getting all affronted at the suggestion. This site is about AFFAIRS!
