About Me:

After a spell away in quiet contemplation, I've returned to IE to see what new adventures and possibilities the world may have to offer. I have visited here a number of times in the past and have never failed to bump into people who make me smile, laugh, think, and who remind me that life is a ceaseless joy of new people and perspectives if you only give yourself the time to lift your head up and see what's happening beyond your usual day-to-day environment.

I'm well-educated, have a job that I still love despite its ever-increasing trials and tribulations, and am kind, funny, honest (I know), and excellent at pub quizzes. I'm told that my best features are my eyes, teeth, and my mind; I'm not the tallest person in the world, but what I lack in inches I absolutely make up for in, erm, other inches. I really like to run--getting out across the fields and through the woods is such a joy--and also enjoy going to the gym, cooking and baking, reading, learning new things, sports, yoga (a new discovery...it makes me feel ever so zen), and occasionally playing the guitar in a very rudimentary way.

I don't tend to have hard and fast rules about what sort of person I'd like to meet; I prefer to talk and see who makes me laugh and who makes my mind fizz with excitement. If we have those things, after all, then the chances are that we'll get along famously and bring a bit of additional joy to one another's lives.
