Spending one late evening putting up Christmas- decorations for my family had inspired me to start enhancing my private time more and to seek intimacy on a more vibrant level. I am a sociable and curious creature, and I am looking to express my individuality.

Having been in arts-education, I am now in a profession where I motivate others to enhance their lives.I enjoy intelligent, challenging, witty, honest and flowing conversation on all manner of subjects.I consider any drama, drastic changes or indiscretion unnecessary. I am as happy to laze on a velvet-sand beach as I am to go for a bracing walk along a stream with a dog; I enjoy ambling in urban environments (museums, street-markets, flower-stalls,bookshops,cafes, restaurants, galleries, theatre, concerts, movies, parks); warming my hands on a mug of mulled wine on a snowy mountaintop (and then placing my warmed hands on your cheeks); driving cars along country lanes and exploring new places; sitting in airport-lounges with a great book and watching you, etc. Am just as comfortable lounging about indoors, while one or the other cooks a little meal for both of us.

I am curious as to what might fire up your senses.

Nothing makes me feel more alive than the scent of a peeled orange on your fingertips; wood-fire smoke of colder climates in our woolen garments; a salty sea-breeze leaving your skin feeling a bit sticky; a freshly cut lawn,damp leaves,fern and crushed moss underfoot; a palm-full of frangipani-or stephanotis-blossoms gathered in a small bedside bowl; pulped mango; leather car seats; Moroccan mint tea; the scent of your shampoo wafting from the bathroom in the shower's steam,etc.

Sound is as important:a voice that is more of a mellow Mocha than a watery Nescafe; the rhythm of a whirring overhead fan on a sultry afternoon; the patter of soft summer-rain through the open windows; a cork being pulled from the bottle.

As for touch,ripe apricots; a floor- tile warmed by the sun; an old pair of snug driving-gloves; the comfort of 400-thread count sheets, sleeping skin to skin.

As for visual elements, an engaging and open smile; golden, late afternoon light; rolling landscape; stormy skies; butterflies; shells; the ocean-floor through clear water.

I am well- organised and reliable, but am also adaptable to surprises and short-notice,impromptu changes.

Ideal Partner:

I am 5'3"(161 cm)tall;am in the correct weight-range for my frame and age; have straight auburn/ brown collar-bone-length hair; brown eyes with an olive tinge; healthy skin. I pay attention to grooming and health. I might wear my hair open, in a ponytail,a chignon or piled up in a French twist. I feel comfortable in my body and I have an open face. I like to smile and make good eye-contact.I am particular about dress-sense, be this for casual occasions, work, country-gear or city- style, parties and/or formal-wear, flat shoes or heels. I keep a capsule wardrobe, and I am conscious of detail, colour-combinations and accessories. I am as happy in a dress as in trousers,whether I wear a tailored item or jeans. You will never see me in sneakers other than in the gym. I am told I am 'chic'. If you prefer to wear sneakers to a restaurant, or not get regular haircuts, or wear any other jewellery/adornments besides basics like a ring or a watch ,then we are unlikely to gel well. As I make an effort to look presentable, I expect the same courtesy from a gentleman.
