Confident, clean, retired professional man, trying to get the excitement back a little, whilst respecting the limitations of a site like this. Looking for ongoing relationship, secondary to our primary commitments. Not interested in one off bunk ups.

I'm a bit of a lone wolf, modest, not clingy in any way. Socially comfortable, tolerably well-read and good, kind, wholesome company. I enjoy the usual middle class cultural pursuits with a particular penchant for drama (on stage, not real life, definitely not real life). I enjoy the poetry of Keats, Housman and Eliot, and I'm about to start a masters in AI .. maybe I'll sell my services to IE to help them with their dreadful auto profile tool.

If we get on as friends, and want to go further, I need to take the lead and tell you what to do, gently but explicitly. Nothing extreme, and all done respectfully and consensually, of course. Past experience has told me just to get these sort of parameters out there from the start.

I'm tall (6'3"), bald, bearded (trim), fit and, following a hip replacement, starting to get athletic again. I'm not a gym fiend; again just putting it out there as a pre-filter. No offence taken if those aren't in your ideal man fantasy. Not much I can do about it anyway .. well, I could shave the beard off I suppose.

If we decide to progress to a physical relationship, then I may be able to host, but wouldn't expect you to.

Ideal Partner:

You are curious, calm and clear-headed. Open minded, without being equivocal. Cheerful and optimistic would be good too. You are physically somewhere from fit to average. Did I say calm? I like calm. I'd hope we'd share a self-effacing love of the absurd, and be able to giggle together about some of the lunacy of modern life.

If we progress the relationship, then we have a few morning or afternoon sessions in the sack per month. With plenty of messages, and the odd coffee and cake, or movie, or walk, or chat, in between.
