About Me:

I am university educated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering but now I have my own accountancy and tax practice. I'm married with two teenage boys and looking for something more permanent than a one night stand or a casual arrangement.

I really enjoy SciFi - Star Wars. The Matrix, Lord of The Rings and especially Bladerunner (but only the original). Films that actually have characters and a plot also appeal including many black & white films. No interest in soaps or reality TV.

Fairly eclectic taste in music but mostly 70's and 80's - with a notable exception for Adele and Harry Styles (did I really just admit to that?). Also popular classics such as Debussy, Vivaldi, Bach. So I'm far keener on Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles than I am on Grime - in fact I'm not even sure I know what that is!

Very keen on classic cars, sailing boats, walking across Swiss glaciers at 3000m and open air concerts in the south of France.

Probably an idea to describe my looks - brown hair, blue eyes, slim and 5'9" (perhaps a smidgen less if it's cold or I've just come in from the rain). Not especially sporty unless it involves a racket. I don't know much about Rugby and even less about football.

I absolutely love books and reading, and if I can drink freshly brewed coffee at the same time I'm sorted - sat in front of an open fire on a cold & snowy winter's day is even better. At the moment I'm reading a lot of non-fiction - Economics and Statistics.

Either the countryside or the seaside is where I am happiest. I am very fond of good food (providing I don't have to cook it) and will enjoy an excellent glass of wine with it, but I am a bit picky.

I am fairly well travelled as I have been going to all parts of Europe since I was about 6. Not much further though apart from the Caribbean, USA and Russia.

I'm many things, but perhaps the best things about me are I'm considerate and calm. And I really hate shouting and arguing.

Ideal Partner:

Hmm, what should I put here? I can't pretend that looks are not important, but I also need someone that I can have a good conversation with, and I don't mean about the latest episode of Love Island.

I would prefer that you are slim to average build (which may include curvy) - yes I know that is not very politically correct but it is not much use pretending that I don't care about it.

Height wise I don't have any preference, although if you are over 2m in your heels it is possible that I might develop an inferiority complex! I have heard it said that the best things come in small packages.

I would also prefer that you didn't smoke, didn't swear a lot and didn't have too many tattoos.
