About Me:

I have a feeling I’m not alone in this, but I find myself in a marriage that lacks… many things I would hope for, and that I have come to realise I need.

I’m not really after one night stands, and would much rather find one special person to connect with again. If I’m honest, my misspent younger years are slightly behind me - I just don’t recover quickly enough these days(!) - but I’m still remarkably good at long lunches or dinner. I do need intelligent conversation; I'm perfectly capable of talking for both of us, but I’d really love it if I didn’t have to. I love being around anybody who can show me a new point of view or teach me something new, and finding someone you connect with is always special - so I'd be just as happy to find someone to put the world to rights with, even if we don't end up jumping into bed.

I work hard and I tend to travel a bit for work. Confident, but hopefully (probably?!) not arrogant. Work is rather digital and virtual, so my spare time is spent proving how few real-world skills I really have (I’ve downgraded from classic car restoration to tractors, and I’m currently failing miserably to make anything of any use as a blacksmith).

Basically I like hammering things.

Honestly, I don’t know. This site offers the ability to be refreshingly honest doesn’t it?

I know what it’s not though! It’s not a one night stand. It’s not anonymous sex in a car park. It’s not more than one person. It’s not all about sex (although that is definitely missing!). This seems to be a bit unusual on this site, but it's quite important that I care about the other person, and that takes a bit more investment than a crotch-shot and a layby.

I don’t have a type, or a list of physical attributes to be met or aspired to; I’d like someone who can get inside my head. Someone who doesn’t take me seriously; who likes their mind turned on as well as their body, who can laugh at themselves as well as at me… And maybe someone in a similar position who isn't looking to completely turn their life upside down, but is definitely up for a new chapter with someone who at least has the potential to turn things a little upside down. In a good way.
