About Me:

I grew up in the Lake District where my life long passion for the mountains was ingrained and therefore enjoy skiing and fell walking . Walking on the mountains ,I find it harder coming down than going up now, courtesy of a lot of mileage on my knees . I love old country pubs with open fires and simple tasty food after a long day on the fells . I love dogs and have always shared my life with them since a boy . I enjoy a good book and getting lost in its pages . I love nature and the beautiful seasonal scenery of our wonderful island . Through business and pleasure I've travelled extensively around the World and continue to do so and enjoy experiencing different cultures and interacting with the varied people I meet on my travels . I enjoy dining in London and have favourite restaurants according to the season . In recent years I've found time to take up golf and play a couple of times per week . It's taken over from squash , which had been my love for many years . I love music ,wine and good conversation and that can be in any order . And like everyone, I love anything that occurs that causes me to throw back my head and laugh like a kookaburra!!

I enjoy being spontaneous and recognise that life is no dress rehearsal . I really dislike smoking , cruelty to animals and people who talk at you not to you .

Ideal Partner:

I'm hoping to meet a lady with whom I can click , someone with integrity whom I can trust, as one must in this scenario . In terms of appearance , of course we all have preferences , however, I don't want to place limitations by listing aspirations that are not cast in stone , by doing so I could cause someone reading this to pass me by and who knows, that someone might be the very person best suited to me !
I want to spend time getting to know someone . There should be no elephant in the room and hopefully our maturity and the manner in which this site has us making contact speaks volumes for the physical needs missing in our lives and therefore what we hope to remedy . For me it is not just about sex . Touching , holding hands , enjoying knowing stares and all the other smaller intimacies are things I've missed for so, so long and hope to find with a lady looking for the same .
All of this within the framework that our meeting via this site recognises and particularly that there are others involved in both our lives and we desperately do not wish our desires and resultant actions to cause them any pain or discomfort . I approach all of this positively as one must and have read the reviews where others have said that the benefits to their happiness and therefore to their marriages have made life better for all concerned . I want to believe that .
As far as our relative proximity is concerned , I think we need to be able to meet fairly regularly and since I live just North of London I think that makes London and the South East counties all practical possibilites .
That all sounds terribly serious having reread it , which actually is not me at all !!!...
