About Me:

I'm pretty open minded and independent. I'm single but understand what this site is for. I'm not looking for the dull domestic drudgery of the more conventional relationships.

Whilst it's a bit of an fancy word, I consider myself to be sapiosexual - I'm more interested in intelligence than conventional looks. Someone intelligent is always going to be more attractive to me, than someone who isn't interested in culture, travel and the arts ... just to name a few areas of my interests.

To use the prompts from this site - I relax by watching period dramas (I know they are cosy escapism) and my music taste is pretty conventional if varied - so I love singing along to choral music (I'm in a choir), as much as I love ABBA, Gloria Gaynor or The Eurythmics .. or even John Denver and Lucio Dalla. My film choices are quite cheesy ... the likes of Mamma Mia or Downton Abbey.

I'm a big reader (I've started a book club .. in which we actually all read the book and talk about it), I enjoy the theatre, I travel (happy to go solo), I work (for an international law firm) and I also enjoy solo time.

Clearly there is an aspect of life that is missing ... which is why I'm here.

What else? I'm just over 5ft, brown eyes, brownish hair (I don't dye it ... but I seem to have more brown than grey), average weight, a great sense of humour, and generally pretty easy going.

I've been on here before, and had lovely success, which has only come to an end as he has moved abroad.

Ideal Partner:

Intelligence is key, as is a sense of humour, and an ease in oneself.

The great thing about this situation is it allows totally for a meeting of equals ... so whilst good manners absolutely matter, I'd prefer to go dutch on costs. And whilst I like assertiveness, I'm not interested in arrogance.

The key is to have fun ... so neither of us bringing our domestic drudgery, and instead just enjoy time away from normal life.
