About Me:

This is hard, as we all know, because it's important to be honest, or try to be, but being completely open about the state of a marriage feels like a kind of betrayal. None of us wants to be here, in a way. Perhaps we wish things were otherwise. But we are here because something is wrong, something is missing, and this site offers an opportunity to live life again. Leaving a home and a family, and damaging someone with whom you have lived for many years, is not anything we are wiling to do. That's certainly the case with me, anyhow. So a discreet, affectionate relationship with someone else is a precious chance for happiness. Life is for living, and you only live once.

I don't feel like setting down here a list of adjectives to try to describe myself. Some of the lists of this kind I have read seem vain and self-satisfied. I think we all have illusions about what we actually are like. However, I have learnt a lot about myself over the years and I try hard to be a good person. My interests are wide. Being outdoors and close to nature means a lot to me. Sport has been a big part of my life - less so now, of course - but I'm still fit and of slim build. I do a bit of bird-watching,: I go for bike rides and walks; concerts and theatre trips are very nice. I try to be respectful, calm, and I'm interested in other people, and their lives.

As part of trying to be honest it's important to say that I have had a couple of affairs before. These have both been wonderful experiences and have been 'successful', if I can put it like that. Happily concluded, and undiscovered. It has been wonderful to have a female friend to confide in and trust. I know what to expect, I'm not impatient, and I know the ropes of staying safe and being discreet. I know how to compromise, how to be flexible, take opportunities that arise and seize the moment.

My time is pretty flexible, and I'm able to travel..to a reasonable degree

Ideal Partner:

I certainly am not going to be too specific about this, because I like talking to and finding out about all sorts of people. I would like very much to find a woman who wants what I want - a trusting, careful, affectionate, and, after a while, if things go well, an intimate relationship. Size, race, religion are not important. How often we met, where, etc., can be worked out to suit both of us.
