About Me:

I really love my wife, she's one of my greatest friends - but her libido has disappeared entirely, and mine hasn't. Probably a common story. So I'm not interested in doing anything that might deliberately jeopardise that.

I'm university educated and I work in a medical research related role in one of the big university cities. I'm not a clubber or a smoker, I'm not really into football or rugby, and I would ideally like everyone to work together to make the world a better place - I'm not frightened of immigrants, and I think that the sound of a language that I can't understand is a beautiful thing!

I like to make and repair things, I like running and cycling long distances, reading, listening to music (all sorts), cooking (all sorts), painting (badly), days out with the family (and days out without the family) - you know, the usual sorts of things a man in their fifties is into. I'm not afraid of rolling my sleeves up and getting my hands dirty.

I'm not into tracky bottoms, and I wear sportswear only for doing sport. I wear jeans and t-shirts most of the time - and I have a fondness for fairly expensive suits (so it's a pity that work doesn't require them to be worn anymore!).

I used to be into motorbikes and cars, but now I find that they bore me pretty close to rigid.

Right now I want to see what the scene is about and hear from people around my age who might be in a similar situation. And, silly though it is, perhaps it'd be nice to hear that I still have mojo (although one of my wife's friends did tell me I had a good bod, which was comforting!)

Ideal Partner:

I'd love to hear from women in the 40 to 60 range who are in a similar position to me - i.e. that they are married, but the sexual spark has gone. Let's start with chatting, sharing experiences, and take it from there.

The ideal woman for me is educated, slightly left of centre politically (although perhaps I shouldn't be so much in a bubble about it - kind, generous and empathetic is all that really matters), into some kind of 'active' activity and has an open mind, with interesting stories to share. A friend. For perfection, she will also be a cyclist (not just a going down to the shops cyclist) or interested in getting into cycling long distances.

Non-smoker a must, not even recreationally. Nothing is a giveaway quite like the smell of cigarettes on a non-smoker!

As to how you look, you look as if you're between the ages of 40 to 60 and a woman. Nothing else matters does it?
