About Me:

The last few years have rocketed past and real sweet, fun life almost seems a distant memory. I'm on the downslope of a long relationship and badly need to quit tilting at windmills and re-discover what optimism and pleasure is.

I'm highly intelligent without being nerdy, a successful public speaker, magazine columnist, novelist, cinema historian and wildlife conservationist, which I reckon qualifies me as a sensual romantic.

When I'm not at my desk I either haunt the gym or plan my next trip wandering the earth for fascinating stories. But, boy, do I miss the right female company. At 68 I'm no chicken but am in better shape than most fifty year olds.... Hmm.. make that forty five year olds. I'm half a inch under six feet, a sinewy 190 and my six-pack has yet to have become a keg. Looks-wise, on a scale of 1-10, where 1 is say, Quasimodo and 10, Henry Cavill, I guess I'm around 7, maybe 8 after a bottle of red (although my current passport photo indicates 3). But gawk at my private picks and judge for yourself.

I'm tough, resilient, kind and pack a great sense of humour.... but I don't do drama, I merely write it.

Ideal Partner:

Much as I may once have longed for the company of Raquel Welch, I don't have a 'favourite type' of woman. Such pigeon-holing is infuriating nonsense. White, black, tall, short, curvy, slim etc, any one could knock me bandy. It's all about the subtleties, nuances and the all-important meshing of pheromones. I do love humour, big smiles, a certain cheeky cool and great conversation. However, I can't abide sheep, doormats or women who are all curlers and chaos.
