About Me:

When aged 19, I went to France as an au pair. Having learned the language, I then went to New York, where I worked in a Lycee Francais. After three years, I returned to England and went to London University where I got my French degree and Masters. I got married and had two children and we went to live in Plymouth, my birth city. The marriage did not last and then I remarried and had another child.

I trained as a teacher and taught French in schools, and then English to adults, including asylum seekers and refugees. Then my husband and I moved to Somerset where I now live. I retired from teaching and trained as a counsellor which I still do part-time.

I like reading fiction and non-fiction and watching all kinds of films and dramas. I swim and do Pilates to keep fit, as well as quite a lot of walking. So far, I have stayed in good health.

My marriage died some time ago, but I am committed to my children and grandchildren. Personally, I feel I have a lot to give to someone, so am looking for a relationship with a like-minded man.

Ideal Partner:

I would like a relationship with someone who needs some fun and companionship as I do. He needs to be open-minded and emotionally intelligent and to share some of my interests.
