About Me:

Well. What to write here ? There must be a strong tendency to inadvertently misrepresent oneself in describing who we are . It's perfectly understandable that we should do so . After all , which of us is honest enough to describe ourselves as others see us , not as we see ourselves , not just physically but personality and intellect wise . I wonder how many women have agreed to have lunch with someone who , apparently , bears a very close resemblance to George Clooney only to find themselves sat down with an Oliver Hardy lookalike ? ( Apologise to the Laurel & Hardy fan club).


And so to me , with an attempt to be searingly honest.
My general physical appearance has been dealt with in a separate section . I only need to add that I wear glasses and am slightly deaf. There are some password protected photos available in the vague hope that someone might actually want to see what I look like . I dress casually but with good taste , due mainly to being the same build as my youngest son who is something of fashion freak and who passes on to me all his redundant ( worn on average twice) clothing .

My leisure time is filled in a variety of ways . I continue to learn about the world at large and about somethings specifically. I Intend to be vague here as there are some areas of my interests that are confidential and sensitive.
I have a long term and ongoing active interest in some particular antiques which I restore , repair , buy and sell.
Still very active physically and so , with all due modesty , remain quite fit .



Personality wise ( this is the difficult bit ) I'm not everyone's cup of tea. You'll either like me or you won't. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground , and never has been . I can hold strong opinions about some things and can , on occasions be too honest . This is just another way of saying I can be blunt or abrupt . On the upside I've a brilliant sense of humour ( being on this site must prove that) am intelligent enough to be able to contribute to entertaining conversation and , this is important , know when to listen. Perhaps my biggest failing is that I cannot stay serious for any great length of time and can see humour in most situations , sometimes inappropriately !!! Finally , my previous experiences have taught me to empathise with others and to be sensitive and non judgemental to their situations.


Now to the nitty gritty of what this site purports to promote. I'm not an amateur in this field . For reasons that need not be divulged here in the past I have had a long lasting affair and one that was shorter lived. I make this point to indicate that I do what it says on the tin , or in this particular case, what it says on the opening web page .
If I'm fortunate enough to find a woman who agrees to meet , then I'll be there . And if we go further she will have my upmost respect and consideration and can be assured that I go the whole nine yards . No backing out , no last minute cancellations , no 'just not turning up' and no corny excuses , like ' the dog has eaten my Granny'.

That said I do know from past experience that having an affair brings its own problems and each partner needs to understand that the personal situation of the other may sometimes interfere with previously made plans .

Ideal Partner:

I arrive on this site completely open minded about a potential partner . I'm well grounded enough to realise that the eventuality of me actually finding someone is extremely unlikely.

However that doesn't preclude me from saying that if you've a heartbeat and can laugh at yourself, then we're over halfway there.
Body shape , looks, religion , ethnicity , disability , none of these matter . If we meet and get along , nothing else is needed

The only 'negative' criteria would be age . I'm not in the least attracted to young women and much more prefer those mature women over the age of 50 . WHO AM I TO BE LAYING DOWN CONDITIONS !!!!!! I'll be lucky to receive one reply . LOL
The age stipulation isn't carved in stone but it's a good yardstick.
