About Me:

I like to read, I love walking in the countryside, and I like a nice beer. I love classical music and I love my dog.

My ideal weekend away would be in the Lake District, away from the hubbub of the main centres. There's plenty of beautiful empty hills up there.

I belong to two book groups and read widely.

Why am I here? Well, I'm living a separated life and looking for something to make the days glow a bit more. Maybe I can help make your days a glow a bit too.

You get to fifty-something and the world expects you to give up the chance of new experiences and new fun. Dipping into IE is because I know that there's more out there than just dog walks and book groups, much as I love my dog, and love a good book (and love trashing a crap one, for that matter).

I'm not the steely-jawed master-of-the-universe lawyer type. I'm an average looking sort of guy with less hair than I'd like, and no plans to master the universe any time soon. But, for all that, I'm kind and caring, and I enjoy sharing laughter and wine. Why not share them with me?

Ideal Partner:

A sense of humour and someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously. I'd happily start there and see where it went after that.
