Mid-Year Resolutions

Most of what I had planned this next few months has pretty much gone out of the window, and I’ve needed to come up with novel things to keep me sane and entertained.

I’ve wanted to have an affair for a long time, and I’ve just plucked up the courage to search for somebody. This time at home has only amplified my want to do something new, something for me only, and that’s how I find myself here. Can anybody relate? I’m calling it my mid year resolution.

Stopthebus_ ln part l would agree that there something missing at home if all was good then people wouldn't be here, some people just love the excitement and stimulus plus you can have your cake and eat it without interfering in anyone elses home affairs.

stopthebus, I agree with u, but also extra things like novelty, and experience. You can't keep things spicy and fresh by trying many new thing at home with the same person, it becomes monotonous, robotic, unexciting.

i think many of us start an affair because of that very loneliness, lockdown has simply amplified it.

It’s good to hear people agree with my thoughts, for so long I have felt bad for wanting to feel good

@hender74 I know exactly what you mean about being lonely even though you aren’t physically alone. It’s an odd concept, but very real.

dear anonymous writer.... yes, go for it, an affair is wonderful, lifechanging, bittersweet, but ohhhhh so tasty. Once you have one though, be aware, you'll always want to have one, it brings too much satisfaction. Keeps you on your toes. it's adrenaline i think we all lack sometimes in marriage

Ha l think most of us can, l think we all yearn for tge years when the thought of that person made us excited, having that connection with another certainly energizes you and calms any angry fires you had burning at home. Is it good for a marriage and does it help someone feel alive again.. Honestly l would say it does.

@Hender74 I can relateeee! Definitly need some more excitement and passion, and with reasonable nice days on and off, I'm dying for some summer drinks on the river with a man that gives me butterflies. Instead, the day to day codundrum of homelife. It is suprisingly more lonely then I'd anticipated. It's good to be able to chat to people in a similar boat.
