Some do, some dont, some have an expiry date as soon as the wedding is over, some lasts until one dies, but some like a little bit of excitement as well.

@tea_coffee_me Agreed. It takes two to make a happy relationship but only one to make it unhappy.

After my father died when I was 29 it made me have a long hard look at my life, I was in a job that i didn't particularly enjoy and married to a man that i loved but was no longer in love with... for me personally I didn't want to live my life with regrets, so after a year I plucked up the courage to tell him and left
I've never regretted it...

Everything has an expiry date if you don't keep on top of things! However, I also believe that if you find the right person that expiry date could be when one of you isn't Alice anymore.
The expiry date I have is when my kids don't need both parents to be there anymore!

Never thought it did but after years of being made a fool of and very controlled ... 4 affairs that I know of and then verbally and emotionally abused..... then after a number of times forgiving the physical abuse.... I eventually plucked up the courage to leave... I know my vows were for better or worse (37 years together and 31 years married) I think I gave it a fair crack of the whip x

It all depends on the people. We have a open marriage because we both accept that 20 years together and the daily grind take it's toll and something new and exciting can balance that out.
