One can 'fall' into an affair. Of which feelings can become very strong. That seems to be one way to repurpose ones life and start anew.
But this situation here is organised adultery, which is cognizant and culpable. A deliberate cool logic is employed. Certainly at the outset.
Feelings will naturally grow if the pairing finds more to share than sex. Likely some pairs have gone on to mate for life, and happy with their decision.
So if it truly is a beautiful jewel of life,fulfilling in every way, then the answer is unavoidable. That big leap is staring you in the face and you may well take it.

I think communication and honesty. I know that probably goes against the grain of an affair as it is dishonest towards are spouses but for a successful happy affair you need to know what you’re dealing with!
