My mouth was dry and my hands nervously clammy as I saw her across the street. I smiled with relief to see her face had not had a hard paper round.

As she entered she smiled with relief to see that I had all my own teeth and my eyes pointed the same way, with a mix of freak circus curiosity and trepidation at what the evening held.

her eyes glittered, her smile enchanted me, and I gave a discreet peck, asking if she’d had a good journey.

We spoke, conversation flowed, and day turned to dusk turned to night as I drowned in the helicon that was her voice.

And as the hour drew near, I never noticed it had been raining.

We stepped outside, and I saw amber lights reflected on the wet pavement like a lake. Brushing her hair with my hands, fussing over her, I gave her a hug and a warm kiss that lingered far too long, holding her cheeks in my hands.

Time stood still as she walked away. I stood still watching her disappear, my vision was filled by all that was her.

She turned and looked back.

Sitting opposite together in Costa coffee….looking lovingly into each other’s eyes…..as we sign a contract to stick with each other forever, so neither of us has to come on this crazy site ever again.

Failing that…..just a fun couple of hours with a warm genuine and fun person over a cocktail or two would be absolutely lovely….

I already experienced it with someone from IE. She was an American visiting London and we had chatted on here, then messaged on our phones, then she asked if I wanted to meet for a drink in Notting Hill. We met, found that it was incredibly easy and fun to chat together and she was incredibly attractive. Then she said to me, you know my hotel is just a two-minute walk around the corner, would you like to come and see the view from my room? We are not IEs today because of the distance, but still good friends...

I live in a cold (especially in winter) but stunning part of the country. I’m 15 minutes from the beach which is beautiful in itself, but after lots of development in recent years has become even more attractive. So a walk does it for me. Gives two people the chance to chat and express themselves without onlookers or interruptions. As the walk will take in bars and coffee shops and cafes and restaurants it gives the opportunity for a spontaneous stop rather than something pre-planned. Perfect
