Perhaps now is a good time for you to start laying the foundations by talking about what you would like to do when lockdown is over, for example joining some sort of activity group which your OH has no interest in or taking up some sort of hobby which takes you away from home for a reasonable length of times, etc, etc ... be creative if you really are serious about having some time to yourself as well as an affair!

Life gets even more complicated if both you and your wife are retired. This is the situation I'm in and I'm finding it really difficult to think of a plausible excuse to spend anything but the briefest of times away from home.

I'm definitely not 'under the thumb' but I have to be realistic until such time as the lock-down rules become significantly less restrictive. I guess patience is a virtue, but sadly I've found it's a virtue that is in pretty short supply in certain places!! If however you find yourself in a similar situation to me, are in the Midlands and would like to chat just send me a message!!!
