Hotels
I'm relatively new to this world.
1) Any tips for booking hotels in London
for a few hours?
and
2) What's the general norm regarding paying for the
hotel (does the man foot the bill or is it split between the two)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would always seek a 50/50 relationship with everything, there’s a lot of pleasure in being both giver and receiver but that doesn’t suit everyone.

I was bought up to be a gentleman and that applies paticularly to the way one treats a woman. So I would always expect to pay for a Hotel room because that is polite and Gentlemanlike. As many have said on here being a lady does cost more and if you have a married lover it is tricky to buy her nice clothes, perfume and underwear unless she is so totally well cared for at home that her husband will not notice. But usually married women on IE do not have that sort of loving and cared for relationship at home so one has to be careful for her sake so paying for meals and a Hotel room is fine. Having said that my only experiences have shown that an honest and appreciative lady will always repay in some way with surprise gifts, a meal out or aboost to ones ego when it is needed most.
Definately Day rate hotels are the way to go and staff in most Hotels will have seen far more than you could ever believe, much more than a one day stay IE couple would get up to. Have fun with care and love.

I've always split 50/50. I really can't believe some of the comments on this thread from women... some must still be living in the 20th century.

I thought no common sense rules. If you are shelling out for rail fares (which are expensive) then he can pay for the room. If you aren’t travelling then I think 50/50 s fair. Discuss it before you meet. Google day rates fire hotels and you will get a list. Quite a few in The Smike. Good luck and stay safe. Xx

Age discrimination in itself is also illegal. Paying someone more for greater experience and therefore additional responsibility is not and it applies equally to men and women.
Paying men and women different hourly rates for exactly the same job is illegal and you know it. There is a gender pay gap but its not due to sex discrimination. You should know that too.
