Hotels

I'm relatively new to this world.

1) Any tips for booking hotels in London
for a few hours?
and
2) What's the general norm regarding paying for the
hotel (does the man foot the bill or is it split between the two)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@ Dune45

You make it sound as though when women spend a fortune on themselves their men are therefore indebted to them.

By the way women have been paid exactly the same as men for doing the same job for many years now. There are other factors which affect womens earning potential of course, primarily when they have young children, but they are usually only temporary and dont apply for their entire working life. Men are not to blame for this. It boils down to a lifestyle choice at the end of the day.

Women should not event think about paying for hotels, drinks and meals and here are some reasons why:
- Gender pay gap and the fact that most women sacrifice careers for families, hence earn nothing close to men.
- Nice women’s lingerie is very expensive, not to mention the cost of those lovely shoes and sexy dresses that men adore;
- Women spend many hundreds even thousands on appearance, while we are lucky if men bother to visit dental hygienist from time to time.
The list could go on… Let the man pay, he will feel like a gentleman and you will feel like a lady. And if you run into a cheapskate remind him that sleeping with wife does not cost anything.

Hotels Tonight, last minute availability … If he pays suspect he’s expecting more than the in room amenity

I’ve met in a few and as others say they know what you’re doing and so just enjoy it. It’s part of the business and they will make sure you have a good stay and hope you return.

Although I’ve learnt to lock the door if in the day as house keeping do knock on every door and just wander in. Once at a very unexpected moment. We both laughed about it for ages. All part of the adventure. Novotel do Dayuse sometimes. And are the nicest rooms.

At hotels you pay you stay, they dont care why(they can spot affair)but see it several times a day...a lot of hotels have later check-in now due to covid cleaning and some no longer do dayrooms, things are not as easy now.

As somebody who has pretty much lived in hotels more most of my working life.
Hotel staff know exactly what is going on, but it happens on a daily basis, they really don't care they have seen it all.

Thinking more on this, if you really want a discreet room for the day, try an airport hotel. They get lots of day rooms for all sorts of reasons, not just illicit encounters. Just don’t forget to pay / validate your parking. In the current climate you will likely pick up a few bargains.

Oh, and if you are happy to pay £3k for a suite for an afternoon in a central london 5 star hotel, they won’t care if you are a drug lord, gun runner, fascist dictator or a reality TV star. Not that I am any of those things M’lud…

For access to travel, shops restaurants etc. You need the smaller,on location, hotels as some of the big chains are set back from all that and need transport to get to.

I'd pay for a chain for the first meet, then upgrade on the next meet. If it's an ie of any duration, we'd arrange to balance out most of the costs. Some ie will settle up from the start. Which might signify a one off.

If your ie turns out to be a sex worker they may be recognised by the staff, which is when they might take issue.
