Hotels
I'm relatively new to this world.
1) Any tips for booking hotels in London
for a few hours?
and
2) What's the general norm regarding paying for the
hotel (does the man foot the bill or is it split between the two)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best Western and Marriott Hotels are available for day use. Much preferable to a Travelodge or such like!
Some Greene King pubs also have pretty decent rooms available, even some Wetherspoons hotels are surprisingly nice for overnight stays

What windthruthetrees says ... go for the big chains which are more anonymous ... don't be tempted by pretty little hotels in some small village where you are more likely to attract attention from both staff and guests ... not to mention your car being seen in the hotel carpark! Unless of course you can be sure you're well away from your home territory and less likely to be noticed.
Also, always have a reasonable excuse ready ... just in case!

@ orchid 1967.
Despite their name Holiday Inns have a lot of corporate guests minding their own business. So yes, they are discreet. Especially those in slightly out of town locations or by business parks. Just don’t use your loyalty card when staying. Same is true of most big brand hotels, make sure you tick the box to not get marketing info.
Im struggling to think of any reason why any hotel wouldn’t be discreet, just make sure it’s not one you might go for another reason.

I've met in Holiday Inn Hotel's and they appear to be discreet. Anyone else found the same?

As most members are looking for utmost discretion. Would anyone who has used these day rate hotels, recommend one group over any other?
I would appreciate any feedback,/reviews of where they stayed etc (which I'm sure would would help many)

And it's up to you who pays . Who can afford it more easily or who did it last time ..be grown ups...neither of you are escorts...if you can't discuss it you probably shouldn't be shagging.
As to the great outdoors....
Definitely when the moment takes you and you discover a private beautiful spot ..some of my favourite memories!
However too often and it looks suspiciously cheapskate and doesn't allow the longer more intimate discovery that's possible behind a locked hotel room door with the rest of the world shut out

Multiple sites allow you to book dayrooms....it's mainly the big chains and the rates are lower than overnight often.
There's also a joy to checkout Ng in at 10am and having the whole day together...passionate energetic sex in the morning then head out to lunch and a slower pace in the afternoon.. more conversation and intimacy

I would always pay I believe it’s the right thing for a man to do. Especially the first time, if want to split after happy with that too.

I was talking over the logistics of how to go about having an affair with a guy on here quite a while ago now and I realised that he mainly thought he was going to be having sex in the back of his car! Suffice to say, it did not progress. Just what every woman wants eh?!

Outdoor sex need not always be risky, especially if you hire a secluded cottage with a private garden and no immediate neighbours.
Naked picnic on the lawn.
G&T and plenty of ice.
And more than one room to play in.
My idea of bliss.
