It's a small world ... you never know who you'll run into even when "far away from home" ... i have met people from home on the other side of the world!!!

Hide in plain site and avoid PDAs.

For example, I often have lunch with colleagues and consultants from across industry so I'm known to be with a new face fairly often. Just makes it easier not having to make up silly stories.

Steal a kiss only when it is safe to do so (not in public unless you are far away from home), save more intimate moments for a hotel/spare home.

PDAs in transport can get you into trouble so be careful... unless you wear a balaklava and are on a ebike, since you become invisible to the police.

Financial secrecy is probably one of the hardest things to maintain. As an affair goes on, the costs mount up (hotels and petrol aren’t free after all). Even though your partner in crime might pay for most of the expenses, there’s still that risk for the both of you.

So budgeting in a way that’s acceptable and sustainable is pretty key.

I have the same challenge sometimes. It’s because our social circles are so big that it can be difficult to maintain discretion.

You’re best option is, if you work, do it during day times when everyone else is working too. Day time hotels tend to be cheaper and you can hire in the mornings too. I’m planning to take half days off occasionally to have my occasional fun.

If you are going out at night, pick a different city girl! And a good cover story! Best of luck!!
