Let's Get Physical
Is anyone else here because they no longer have a physical relationship at home? Me and my husband haven't even slept in the same bed for 6 years.

I've not had any intimate contact at home for over 15 years and they wonder why we stray!

I disagree. Why not have a celibate IE partner? I don’t think any of my IEs were having sex at home and I can’t say it was a dangerous thing.
So here’s the thing...I never get why people who are having sex at home want to have a sexual affair. Again..I don’t get those people thar are having sex at home and don’t want to use protection with their IE. Both things are madness in my opinion. If you’re having sex st home and with An IE with or without protection, that’s just Russian roulette to me

If there’s no affection, then there’s no point. If you have no emotions or feelings for someone, then there’s no sex, affection or love there. It won’t get any better, so I reality the relationship of done. Time to move on and go your separate ways.

Totally agree and yes IE has dodgy undesirables mixed with some great people.
Remember we all want to be desired so find your special person and be happy life is to short...

@ Devon Pixie
I still have a very physical relationship with my hubby too. I get repeatedly turned down by guys on here when I admit to it. It seems many guys want a celibate IE partner.
That to me is just dangerous, too easy to fall into a serious relationship that way.

I think the large majority of people are here because of zero intimacy/sex at home . I agree with others in that no sex is a symptom of a bigger problem.
People marry or become partners but each one continues to grow/develop as individuals and 15/20 years later may not be so attractive anymore. Also people endure the financial pressures, kids, mortgage etc and end up taking each other for granted .
It reaches a point when it becomes impossible to reverse things but we all have needs and desires that need satisfying.
Three cheers for IE although it is a swamp of dodgy undesirables mixed with some great people .

Sportster1200L, personally I can't ever see that sort of system ever being acceptable in the UK nor do I think it should be. My main problem with it is the double standard, why do some cultures seem to think it's perfectly acceptable for man to have a mistress but not for a woman to take a lover?
Returning to the original topic however as suggested by Iamgoingsupernova, I've never in my adult life been celebate. I can't be the only person here who still has physical intimacy with their spouse surely. Or am I?

Apologies OP, I was providing my view on the bedroom issue, but that debate took on a life of its own and hijacked your thread. Could we go back to comparing our lengths...of celibacy that is!

I'm talking about no marriage being generally accepted in the Western world, not adultery.
Discreet adultery is accepted in many cultures as Sportster says ... even the Victorians had that. And certainly in Asia. Thailand also has hotels/motels by the hour ... some motels even provide curtains for parking bays so that the cars are not recognised by passing traffic.
